KwaraETF Chairman Appointed to Nigerian Communications Commission Board
August 13, 2025In a compelling testament to his lifelong dedication to expanding access and opportunity, Alhaji Raimi Oladimeji OFR -founder of Al-Hikmah University and Al-Hikmah International Secondary School, a man renowned for his compassion, humanitarian service, and steadfast commitment to uplifting society’s less privileged — is generously donating the sum of ₦20 million to the Kwara State Education Trust Fund (KwaraETF). This significant contribution supports KwaraETF’s overarching mission to transform and enhance public education across Kwara State.
As part of this landmark contribution, 10 of the state’s Top 36 scorers in the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination will receive full 6-year scholarships—covering tuition, uniforms, school bags, accommodation, feeding, and learning materials—to attend top-performing secondary schools across the state.
The donation, to be channeled through his foundation, Alhaji Dr. Raimi Oladimeji Endowment Foundation (ADROEF), embodies his unwavering commitment to creating a future where every child, irrespective of their background, is afforded a genuine opportunity to succeed.
“I come from a humble background,” Alhaji Oladimeji shared. “I didn’t have the kind of educational opportunities I now work to provide. That’s why I founded Al-Hikmah—to make access easier for others. Supporting KwaraETF is an extension of that same vision: helping brilliant minds go further than I could. I commend the Kwara State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for setting up this visionary Fund. It shows real commitment to the future.”
He added:
“This is not just my story—education changes lives. I call on other leaders, business owners, and well-meaning citizens to support this important cause. Let us invest in the future of Kwara, together.”
Oluwadamilola Amolegbe, Executive Secretary of KwaraETF, described the donation as a landmark gesture:
“This is what legacy looks like. Alhaji Oladimeji has turned personal experience into generational impact. His full-ride scholarships for these outstanding students go beyond generosity—they are a message of belief and belonging. We are deeply grateful.”
She noted that this is the largest individual commitment to the Fund so far, setting a powerful example for what public-private partnership can achieve.
Retired Colonel Abdulwahab Ademola Lawal, Ph.D., Chairman of the KwaraETF Board of Trustees, also praised the donation:
“Alhaji Oladimeji’s gift is a shining example of visionary giving. It is not just financial support—it is a vote of confidence in the potential of Kwarans. As a Board, we remain committed to ensuring that every kobo translates into measurable and lasting impact—ensuring no child is left out of school, uplifting the literacy level of the State through adult education, and promoting skill acquisition and technical education.”
Alhaji Oladimeji, through his foundation, commits to an annual contribution of about Three Million Naira (₦3,000,000) until the total pledged amount is fully paid.
