KWARAETF STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP WITH INDUCTION OF NEW BOARD MEMBERS
October 8, 2025
The Kwara State Education Trust Fund (KwaraETF) commends the Kwara State Government, led by His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for yet another bold step in advancing equitable access to quality education across the state.
The government’s decision to abolish the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) levy in public primary schools and to replace it with annual school grants demonstrates a forward-thinking commitment to ensuring that basic education remains truly free and inclusive.
KwaraETF recognizes that this reform not only eases the financial burden on parents but also strengthens school-level accountability and transparency in the use of public funds. By providing running grants to over 1,700 public primary schools, the administration has reaffirmed its resolve to invest in both infrastructure and access, ensuring that every child in Kwara State learns in a safe, supportive, and well-resourced environment.
The Fund also notes with appreciation the government’s continued payment of counterpart funds for UBEC/SUBEB intervention projects, its investment in digital literacy, and the provision of free English and Mathematics textbooks — all of which reinforce the state’s long-term education transformation agenda.
As a strategic partner in mobilizing private and institutional support for education, KwaraETF remains committed to complementing these efforts by deepening partnerships, promoting innovation, and channeling resources toward sustainable improvements in learning outcomes.
We salute the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara SUBEB Board, and all education stakeholders for their shared commitment to building a future where no child is left behind.
