KWARAETF IMPACT REPORT – STORY OF HOPE: EDUCATION AS A PROMISE
January 23, 2026We begin the year on a bittersweet note as we celebrate the retirement of Mrs. Kemi Mary Adeoshun, our highly esteemed Board Member representing the Head of Service of the Kwara State Government.
Mrs. Adeoshun retires from the Kwara State Civil Service on the 13th of February, 2026 as the most senior Permanent Secretary in the current administration of His Excellency, the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. She most recently served at the Ministry of Business and Innovation. Prior to this, she served as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, where she played an instrumental role in landmark initiatives, including the Kwara Education Futures Summit—the convening that ultimately led to the establishment of what we know today as the Kwara State Education Trust Fund.
While she formally bows out of public service, Mrs. Adeoshun has graciously assured us that she is not tired and will continue to offer her wisdom, guidance, and counsel whenever called upon.
We celebrate her years of dedicated service, thank her for her invaluable contributions to education reform in Kwara State, and look forward to welcoming her to our Strategic Committee as we continue collective deliberations on fostering a stronger and more equitable education ecosystem across the state.
We wish Mrs. Adeoshun a fulfilling and impactful next chapter.
