November 24, 2025The Kwara State Education Trust Fund (KwaraETF) is pleased to announce the approval of a ₦200 million State Grant by His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Executive Governor of Kwara State.
This intervention represents a pivotal milestone in the Fund’s mission to strengthen public education across the state. The grant will serve as foundational support for the implementation of the Fund’s 5-Year Development Plan, enabling targeted investments in critical areas including school infrastructure upgrades, learning enhancement programmes, and capacity strengthening across basic public education.
Speaking on the approval, the Executive Secretary of KwaraETF, Oluwadamilola Fatima Amolegbe, expressed gratitude to the Governor for his continued commitment to education reform and for reinforcing the independence and sustainability of the Trust Fund:
“This grant gives life to our strategic roadmap and greatly enhances our ability to attract future investments from private-sector and development partners. We are grateful to His Excellency for believing in the work, the vision and the immense potential of the Kwara State Education Trust Fund.”
Also responding, the Chairman of the KwaraETF Board, Col. Abdulwahab Ademola Lawal (Rtd), stated:
“The approval of this ₦200 million grant marks a defining step in strengthening the future of education in Kwara State. It provides the stability and catalytic support required to jumpstart our Development Plan and deepen the impact of our interventions. We commend His Excellency for prioritising long-term institutional solutions, and we remain committed to stewarding this investment with transparency, accountability, and measurable outcomes.”
The Fund remains dedicated to transparent resource deployment and measurable impact across the education system. In the coming weeks, project briefs, procurement frameworks, and implementation timelines will be published to keep the public fully informed of progress and outcomes.
